This originally started as an update via email to family and friends to let them know what we’re up to, and our amusing adventures camping. Then one friend, Mark observed, “this is turning into an retired Englishman’s weekly”. Thinking this was a grand idea I ran with it changing the weekly to weakly. Then another friend mentioned you should call it the “crazy retired Englishman’s weakly”. Indeed I should I thought. Eventually I realized that it was a practice run of sorts to make a more public thing, not for just family and friends.
If I had stayed in England I probably would have been a journalist of some kind or writing something somewhere. So, that’s my plan in my retirement years, I will endeavour to pursue that and see where it leads.
